CrossFit training is used by the military, elite athletes and some of the fittest men and women on earth but it can also be done by YOU or anyone else. Workouts are scalable, the exercises can be carried out via progressions because the needs of an athlete, someone wanting to get in shape, an 80-year-old grandparent, student or business owner differ by degree and not kind. They are devised to suit YOU.
CrossFit is, at its core, a strength and conditioning program for anyone looking to significantly improve their overall level of fitness and health.
Jurassic Barbell Club is a strength-focused training club specialising in Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting.
Our structured one-hour sessions are designed to build technical skill, strength, and confidence through expert
coaching and purposeful programming.
Athletes train and develop the snatch and clean & jerk alongside the foundational powerlifting movements — squat,
bench press, and deadlift — creating well-rounded strength and performance. Whether you’re new to barbell
training or an experienced lifter preparing for competition, every session prioritises proper technique,
safe progression, and measurable results.
Our coaching combines technical instruction, strength development, and accessory work to help
members move better, lift stronger, and train consistently. Jurassic Barbell Club is built on
community, support, and hard work — a place where lifters of all levels can grow together and
celebrate progress on and off the platform.
Train with purpose. Build real strength. Join the herd.
Hybrid is our HYROX-inspired class combining functional strength training with endurance conditioning
to build complete, all-round fitness.
Expect a mix of running, machine work, strength movements, and race-style workouts designed to
improve stamina, strength under fatigue, and overall performance.
Perfect for anyone wanting to get fitter, stronger, and more resilient — whether you’re training for HYROX,
improving your engine for CrossFit, or simply looking for a challenging, structured workout.
All sessions are fully scalable, making Hybrid suitable for all fitness levels.
Train stronger. Move faster. Go longer.
On Saturdays we work in teams. The wods are designed to promote the CrossFit community ethos.
It’s tough but so much fun.

At CrossFit Weymouth we believe fitness is for all ages — and we make it fun!
Our specially designed classes help young athletes build strength, confidence, and a love of movement,
all in a safe and supportive environment.
We have three age groups to ensure every child gets the right level of coaching and challenge:
Kids Club (5–10 years)
A fun, energetic introduction to fitness! Our little athletes explore movement,
coordination, and basic CrossFit-style exercises through games and challenges. Every
class is designed to keep them engaged, active, and having a blast.
Young Teens (11–14 years)
Perfect for secondary school beginners or those who want to scale movements while learning
proper technique. These classes focus on building a strong foundation, improving fitness,
and making sure every teen feels confident in their abilities.
Advanced Teens (13–16 years)
For our “big kids” ready to push themselves further! These sessions are designed for
teens who lift heavier, master complex movements, and are almost ready to step into adult CrossFit
classes. They’ll develop strength, skill, and confidence in a supportive environment.
We offer personal training for all levels and all goals, be it in general fitness or
honing more complex skills.
"Love to try CrossFit but don't think I'm fit enough..."

On joining PBCF you will take part in our Saturday beginners classes where we teach you the

This is a 4-6 week program. We will walk you through all areas of CrossFit including
nutrition and answer any questions that you have about starting your journey.
Open gym is time made available for members to use the gym outside of our programmed classes for
accessory work.
Open gym is offered as a stand alone membership or as a bolt on to existing memberships.
We offer a generous 8 hours of Open Gym per week at PBCF. We recommend that athletes use Open
